Memorial's "3-Year Plan" Initiative
Memorial Christian Church entered this highly focused "3-Year Plan" in June of 2011 - a strategic development initiative endorsed by the congregation and directed by MCC's Ministry Council (a cooperative group of 8 congregational leaders).
The "vision" is to make Christ known. The "goal" is to have Christ increasingly formed in people, in mission, and in service.
The "Plan" has 3 phases, each lasting approximately 12-14 months, with periodic intentional evaluation.
The current Phase 1 includes concerted initiatives in the areas of (1) Bible studies and elective courses, (2) enhanced worship experiences, and (3) deeper "hands-on" outreach and mission undertakings.
Phase 2 will include (1) increased community events, (2) updated governance, and (3) "Spiritual Gifts" exploration and application.
Phase 3 will include things such as the focused promotion of facility usage, technological possibilities, updated music in worship options, and van/retirement center ministries.
